What Mind Minder is

Mind Minder is a cognitive-access assistant for neurodivergent adults. It offers practical suggestions for social situations, overload, task starting, change planning, and self-advocacy. It is not a diagnostic, medical, therapeutic, crisis, surveillance, or emotion-recognition service.

Use without an account

You can use the core app without creating an account. Your profile, plans, questions, recordings, answers, recent guides, capacity check-ins, and practice conversations stay on your device unless you deliberately use an online feature described below.

Optional account and sync

If you create an account and turn on private sync in the mobile app, Mind Minder stores the name, profile preferences, plans, typed coaching questions and generated answers, and Calm Briefs you choose to sync in Supabase. Signed-in web use saves those same records to your private account so they can follow you between web and mobile. Voice recordings, capacity check-ins, and practice conversations are not synced. You can turn mobile sync off or delete your account in the app.

AI and voice requests

When online AI is available and you submit a question, Mind Minder sends the question, the selected support mode, response preferences, capacity setting, and any profile details you chose to share to the Mind Minder service. The service uses Google Vertex AI Gemini or an approved private Liquid model to create the response. Google and Liquid act as service providers for these requests; they may process the request only to provide and protect the contracted service, subject to their contractual data-protection obligations. If you choose microphone transcription, the temporary audio recording is sent to the service for transcription and then deleted from the app cache. Typing always remains available.

Calm Brief

The Calm Brief sends only the topic names you deliberately select or add. It uses Gemini with Google Search grounding. It does not use your profile, prompt history, plans, or brief history to rank the brief. When private sync is active, the generated brief, its source links, and selected topic names are saved to your account for cross-device access.

Supporter purchases

If you choose a Supporter subscription in a mobile app, Apple or Google processes the payment. If you subscribe on the Mind Minder website, Stripe processes the payment. RevenueCat helps Mind Minder recognise the resulting entitlement across your signed-in devices. These providers may process billing contact details, purchase identifiers, subscription status, store account region, app-user or entitlement identifiers, and limited device or diagnostic data needed to provide and protect the purchase service. Mind Minder does not receive your full payment-card details. You can manage or cancel through the provider used for the purchase and restore an eligible mobile purchase from the Membership screen.

Operational records

We keep limited technical records needed to operate and secure the service, such as a random request or decision ID, a one-way input hash, mode, model, latency, source count, and safety outcome. We do not intentionally put prompt text, recordings, or generated answers in operational logs.

What we never do

• We do not sell personal information.
• We do not run advertising or build advertising profiles.
• We do not provide private content to employers, schools, insurers, or sponsors.
• We do not score how neurotypical someone appears.
• We do not take external action without an explicit user choice.

Retention and security

Account data is protected by row-level ownership controls and encryption in transit and at rest. Synced account data is retained until you delete it or your account, subject to short-lived backups and limited security records retained where reasonably needed to investigate abuse, comply with law, or protect the service. Device-only data follows your device and app-storage settings. No online service is risk-free, so Mind Minder deliberately collects less.

Your choices

You may use Mind Minder as a guest, decline microphone access, keep profile sharing off, disable read-aloud, turn sync off, clear local items, and delete your account and synced data in Me → Account. If you cannot access the app, you can request account and associated-data deletion by emailing us from the account address.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Mind Minder changes or legal requirements develop. The current effective date will always appear here. If a change materially affects how we use account data, we will provide an appropriate notice before the change takes effect.
